Podcasting Workshop Outline

Overview

This three-day workshop introduces participants to the art of podcasting, focusing on audio-only content to allow for deep exploration of topics intended for a public audience. The outlined framework below is notional and can be customized based on the number of participants and the specific content to be produced. Adjustments may be necessary, for example, if the workshop involves interviewing external subjects or if sessions need to be scheduled non-consecutively.

Flexibility in Scheduling

The workshop’s schedule and activities may vary depending on specific project requirements, such as interviewing outside guests, which could necessitate breaking up the days to accommodate guest availability. This flexibility ensures that each podcasting project is given the attention and resources needed to succeed.

Suitability and Scalability

This workshop is ideal for groups looking to start a long-term project or for those interested in using podcasting to engage with the community. Focusing on audio-only projects allows for easier scalability for large groups. With a robust supply of microphones and audio equipment, we can accommodate groups of around 20 or more participants, given adequate space.

Ongoing Project Support

We are open to supporting ongoing projects, where we might spend several months helping to get a podcast off the ground. Starting with us allows an organization to try various equipment before making any purchase decisions, ensuring they select the best tools for their needs.
